Kyoko built her experience across completely different industries, countries, and cultures—including a construction company (Japan), an IT firm(US), an Embassy(UK), and a global cosmetics group(France).

She encountered a spa brand rooted in natural therapies, including phytotherapy and aromatherapy, with a founding philosophy centered on the development of therapeutic products and treatments. After experiencing a profound transformation—freeing herself from years of chronic fatigue and skin issues—she was deeply inspired by the brand’s approach.

Acting entirely on her own initiative, she began negotiations with the brand and successfully secured the exclusive distribution rights for Japan, as well as the unprecedented license to operate the world’s first flagship spa bearing the brand’s name. In 2004, she founded Vicela Japan Co., Ltd., a company dedicated to the spa and wellness sector.

Today, Kyoko not only promotes the brand but also offers comprehensive consulting and advisory services for spa and wellness businesses. Drawing on over 20 years of experience, she supports clients through concept development, pre-opening strategies, and long-term operational excellence. She also provides Visionary Creation Coaching to executive leaders and core teams, helping them shape innovative concepts and lead transformational projects.

The spa she personally designed and manages has won Japan’s prestigious Crystal Award four times as the No.1 spa in the country, and she herself was honored with the Spa Management Award. Internationally, her spa has twice been named Best City Spa in Asia by the World Luxury Spa Awards.

In addition to delivering lectures at corporate seminars and academic institutions, Kyoko holds a national certification as a Hot Spring Health Promotion Specialist, recognized by Japan’s Ministry of Health. She is highly experienced in developing spa programs that incorporate the therapeutic use of onsen (natural hot springs), blending traditional healing practices with modern wellness innovation.
